The Ridglea Summer Scorcher, benefiting

Cook Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), was inspired by Avery Wooley, the daughter of Kelly and Shawn Wooley, Ridglea Country Club Tennis Professional.

Avery was born three and half months early, weighing only 1 lb. 5 oz. At times, her survival was uncertain. After 234 days in the NICU, she was finally discharged from the hospital on oxygen and with a feeding tube. She was at home on oxygen for a year and just had her feeding tube removed in August of 2020.

If it weren’t for the incredible staff and life-saving technology at Cook Children’s, Avery would not be the thriving seven-year-old she is today.

The Wooley family and staff at Ridglea Country Club is truly grateful for all the support we've received over the years as we've all come together as a tennis community to raise money for one of the most incredible places in Fort Worth ... Cook Children's.

To date, we've raised almost $65,000 for the NICU at Cook Children's and would LOVE to double that this year!
